Bonjour

Well finally its back, having received innumerable requests, by mail and whenever I go out of the door, I am finally up and running with apparently no computer problems.

Apart from ordering a neuf telecom abonnement for ADSL including line rental and unlimited calls to all of Europe, USA, Australia, New Zealand, China and India for 35.90€ a month and the nice people at the Phone House (French end of Carphone Warehouse) in Carcassonne. Only to find they put the order in to neuf for the wrong one of my 2 lines (on which I already had an Orange ADSL abonnement) this lead to Orange ADSL being removed and neuf not ready too put their ADSL connection onto the line. So after a 3 week return to low speed dial up internet access I am back on line with more debit than I know what to do with.

Let me have any information you would like to disperse as soon as possible and hopefully The Flyer will grow into something even more beneficial to us all.

The sun is finally out the, the Pyrenees this morning resplendent resembling pale pink luminous stiff peak meringues. Imminent announcement of the full Carcassonne festival, I don’t think I will get involved in ticket acquisition and distribution as I did with sting last year. So I suggest you get down to the box office as soon as it opens if you want a night of Zucherro or the Béjart Ballet, then get your skates on (I don’t yet know the opening date for ticket sales)

Personally I will be heading to the Robert Plant show

Please note you can now mail submissions etc to mail@audeflyer.com and this is the address you should give to people who are interested to receive the flyer. And all past editions are posted http://audeflyer.com/

Toques Et Clocher 2007

So weather permitting this years event will I am sure be a welcome return to a little outdoor life.

Even though it does seem to be badly programmed conflicting directly with the new series
of Dr Who. ;
Oh well, I will be there and finally I can go out safe in the knowledge that  I will not be interrogated as to the whereabouts of The Flyer.Rumour has it that this will be the last year of this festival in a village as it has become too successful, can anyone clarify whether this is correct?

PS: save the plastic jug from your wine consumption as they make a fine  receptacle for making omelettes

And of course assign a designated non drinking driver before you go!

Bookfair

Starting on Wednesday, March 28 morning at 9am and running till Sunday evening at 6, the Amnesty International book fair is taking place at the Salle Joe Bousquet, just opposite the entrance to the Mairie on the pedestrian walkway in Carcassonne.  There are thirty or more boxes of English language books--everything from hardcover and paperback novels to self help, DIY, travel, history, some German language books and many, many boxes of French books of all sorts.  If you are interested, the best time to go is at 9am on Wednesday just before or at the same time as the dealers who come looking (mainly for French language books) for re-sale possibilities.  All of the proceeds go to supporting Amnesty International causes.  The sale is open all day, including the noon hours--till 6pm.  The English books have been sorted according to categories.  Please take the time to sign the petitions and perhaps save some lives when you are there.

Fit for life

Hi,

Having moved to the Ariege 18 months ago, I am planning to continue my personal training /’get fit for life’ / massage therapy company in the region.

Please see our website for details of our week –long programmes: www.potential-energy.co.uk

I am also planning to offer weekend versions of the ‘KickStart’ programmes for those who already live in France.

I also plan to spend one day a week in the Mirepoix region for individual personal training / lifestyle fitness  /massage therapy at the home of clients.

It would be really good to gauge the level of interest in these services so that I can plan to expand my time in the area if needs be.

I would be grateful for any suggestions as to how best to bring this to the attention of English speaking clients within your area.

Many thanks in advance for your time and for your help with this!

Best wishes,

Pat Penny

Art

Re: Potential availability to accommodate small groups

We run Art courses and holidays where small groups come to study classes in Drawing and Painting around your area. We are now seeking options for a new base from which to operate this and wondered if you would be interested in potentially working together, based on the following requirements:

Potential dates: April 6th to 14th, May 27th to June 2nd, August 1st to 31st and in late October (exact dates to be confirmed).

Potential numbers: 2-6 people at any time, possibly up to maximum of 8.

Duration of stays: 1-2 weeks but possibility of longer occasionally.

Accommodation: Choice of a) Double bedrooms with double or twin beds, b) Single bedrooms, or c) Dormitory.

Catering: Supply of Breakfasts, Light lunches (or picnics if offsite), plus 3 evening meals (3 courses).

We would mostly work off-site but may also occasionally stay at the base subject to weather. This would necessitate a potential space to work/meet on-site (this could be a garden and/or room provided), as well as have mid-morning/afternoon refreshments available. Clients provide their own materials and equipment to work with.

Please let me know what you could offer with a potential Price schedule, bearing in mind that some clients may wish to share rooms. Please also let me know any other facilities or services you may be able to offer, or any other suggestions you may have.

Finally, please be aware that due to the nature of this type of business we would request a certain amount of flexibility in any arrangement.

We hope to hear from you shortly.

Yours faithfully,

Brian Rusher, Director of Courses

PS: Although our courses this year will be run intermittently as indicated, there is the possibility of more regular programmes during following seasons.
