About the Flyer...

The Aude Flyer started off as a list of 30 email addresses collected in and around the Leclerc supermarket in Limoux, a market town in the Aude Department of South West France.

in April 2008 the title changed to the Aude and Ariege Flyer to reflect the growing number of recipients that have an Ariege address. The Aude and Ariege Flyers' readership is also expanding slowly but surely into the Haute-Garonne particularly around the city of Toulouse.

The Aude and Ariege Flyer is produced by Steve Hedges. Steve worked in the music industry in London for thirty years and purchased a property "in need of renovation" near to Limoux with a view to retirement. Having experienced first hand the joys and frustrations of day to day living in France Steve created the "Flyer" to share his experiences of the French system and to provide information on local events.

The "Flyer" has grown into a fortnightly publication reflecting Steve's interest in communication, networking and all things eco friendly and aims to provide light hearted comment on topical and local news items, useful information about life in France and advertising space for businesses and private individuals. This web site is being developed to compliment the email publication by archiving previous articles in a searchable format to create an accessible English language information resource. The site will also have a restaurant review section, a trades directory and a specialist members only pages for Gite and Chambers d'hotes owners.
