Le Vieux Presbytere consists of 3 habitable properties, a large 2-story barn, an old 2-story stable, and a garage. They are all contained within a walled garden, with the manageable plot of land being approx. 50 metres x 60 metres. good sized swimming pool.
main house and gites are in excellent condition with some beautiful character features including a vaulted ceiling, a stained glass window and solid oak flooring.
expansion is possible to create even more living space and the gites are already up and running as successful holiday lets.
Carcassonne, is famed for it's Mediaeval walled City, which is proving to be an ever more popular tourist attraction (recently featured in the Best selling book 'Labyrinth'). La Cité is just 4 km away from Grezes, and the Canal Du Midi a very pleasant 20 minute walk.
Toulouse is just 50 mins away, Barcelona 2.5 hours, and the coast, at Narbonne, about half-hour. There is a small beach at Lac Du Cavayere, near La Cité. Skiing is available at Mont Segur…just 1 hour, or in the Pyreneans….2+ hours, depending on the road conditions.
Le Vieux Presbytere has proved to be a successful holiday home business for us. We have chosen to limit our season, but for anyone interested in Chambres D'Hotes (B&B) with our proximity to the airport, there is scope for extending the business throughout the year. Also, providing a venue for themed courses, LVP is ideally located for everything that's needed (i.e. air, rail and road transport, shops, excellent restaurants, many tourist attractions, yet within a country setting)
